The GFA board has a history of unanimously approving the resolution to every issue which they discuss. I can't find in any of the recent minutes of GFA Member Meetings or of any recent Annual General Meetings in which any action was not unanimously approved by the board. This situation is problematic because:
1.) It indicates a level of homogeneity on the board which reflects only the interests of the identically-minded board members and those Flow lot owners who ardently agree with them, thereby excluding even the input of any who might disagree.
2.) By successfully barring any serious debate on issues affecting fellow Flow lot owners, the board no longer serves all as they claim to, but rather only push through their and their adherents agendas with no consideration whatsoever given to anyone who might not agree.
My 0.02 Worth:
The currently sitting board does not genuinely debate anything. They instead just go through the motions of rubberstamping whatever is put forth by fellow board members. At the 2020 AGM which was correctly held on Zoom, two ballot initiatives I put forth to potentially change our bylaws were correctly presented to the members via surface mail for a vote. The problem is that the board included with these ballot initiates both their own one-sided editorial about why they should not be approved without allowing me the opportunity to explain why they should be approved, and the board flatly lied to members about the other ballot initiative I put forth which would require them to seek member approval for expenditures above a certain limit. The unethical editorial with no opportunity for a rebuttal and the easily demonstrable lying were unsurprisingly effective at having my initiatives defeated. (NOTE: The board refused to conduct the 2021 AGM in a safe manner, so I and other fellow Flow lot owners did not attend.)
Despite the recently increased spate of lies being told about me on FB, I have repeatedly and publicly stated in the past that I absolutely do not know everything, nor do I even think I know everything. But, this is the exact attitude clearly demonstrated to be held by the currently sitting board when they constantly walk in unquestioning lockstep with one another, and apply mechanisms which attempt to shut out any attempts at civil discourse with anyone who might simply hold a different view. IMHO, doing this is about as un-American as this process could get.
I have made numerous repeated offers to the board to set aside my personal feelings about their frequent lapses in ethics which sometimes descend into outright lawbreaking, and to instead just safely work with them for the betterment of 🅴 🆅 🅴 🆁 🆈 🅾 🅽 🅴 here in Our GREAT Little Community®. To date, every single one of my sincere overtures to the board for cooperation and unity have either been ignored or flat out rejected, leaving any right-minded person to once again wonder just who are those on our Flow genuinely seeking cohesion and who are those seeking only division through alienation? 🤔
