When I think they have sunk to the very bottom, mr fibiger and most of the currently sitting GFA board continue to plumb to new depths. Last year, at least Director Gold and the nominating committee went through the motions of asking if any GFA Members might be interested in standing for a position which was available on the board. Of course, in the end, ONLY the single candidate whom the board deemed "worthy" was included on the official GFA ballot, but I give them credit for at least putting on a sham of a show.
This year, even the sham show has apparently been jettisoned. Take a look at this screenshot from the recently released minutes of the May 2020's GFA Member's Meeting:
Yup, mr fibiger, the nominating committee chairperson Director Gold, and most of the currently sitting GFA board of directors are actually admitting that they are not even taking letters of interest from GFA Members for any open position. Instead, they are blatantly confessing to "contacting" and eventually hand-picking only those whom they want on the board - only those who will continue to walk in unquestioning lockstep with mr fibiger and most of the currently sitting board, and thereby perpetuate the insanely incestuous and wholly non-innovative status quo. And this year, doing so without even bothering to put on a 100% fake sham show by at least going through the motions of asking for Members who are interested in serving to submit their letter of interest - which is precisely what was done both in 2019 and again just this past January, when former Director Tsan abruptly resigned and a replacement director was required. And, which is actually required by those pesky little bylaws of ours which mr fibiger alternately swears by and ignores, as it pleases them to do. This obvious truth of their arrogantly contemptuous conduct is made all the more obvious by the fact that I have e-mailed Director Gold repeatedly (and cc'd the entire currently sitting GFA board), expressing my wish to be included on the official ballot for the upcoming Annual General Meeting. Unsurprisingly, I have been met with nothing other than rudely unprofessional silence. Here's a screenshot of the section of our bylaws addressing this process:

I don't like mr fibiger at all. I find nothing redeeming in the fact that a (IMHO) blatant law-breaking, ineffective, unprofessional, mis-manager suffering from toxic narcissism and a raging Napoleon complex continues to wholly fraudulently cling to the title of 'president' of the GFA - an association which I and all GFA Members are currently under court order to financially support. I don't care for many of the actions and inactions of most of the currently sitting GFA board. I believe the sentiment is quite mutual. But, I don't hide my truth behind fake, smarmy smiles and unprofessional, unethical, cowardly, and, at least at times, blatantly illegal conduct. That's what mr fibiger and most of the currently sitting GFA board unfortunately does. I actually reach out to an individual whom I personally wholly despise, attempting to work with them for the benefit of the GFA Members, only to have my overtures sarcastically rebuffed. I also simply tell the truth - a trait of mine which obviously absolutely terrifies them.
