With less than a week left before our GFA Annual General Meeting on September 5th online via Zoom, I hope you will allow me the opportunity to try to make it very plain precisely what I stand for and what I will do for you as I ask for your vote to earn myself a position as a GFA Board of Directors member.

Here goes:

TRANSPARENCY:

I wholeheartedly believe that every little thing the board says or does on our behalf (VERY rare executive sessions aside) should be fully visible at all times to each and every Member in Good Standing of the GFA. All GFA documents should be available for our review upon reasonable request.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

I equally strongly believe that everything which the board says or does on our behalf is something which they should rightly be prepared to fully respectfully justify to the Membership, not just try to impose upon us.

COMMUNICATION:

I believe the board has an obligation to communicate responsively, openly and fully honestly with the Members, and to not decide what information is and is not to be shared with us. This would be best accomplished by continuing the live-streaming of the meetings and the production of a website - two evolutionary steps I have been advocating for over the past several years.

EQUAL TREATMENT OF ALL MEMBERS:

The juvenile, clique-y nonsense needs to end. I believe the board has an obligation to respectfully and seriously consider input from all the Members, not only those who walk in lockstep agreement with every little thing the board says and does. We all pay our dues, so we are all due equal respect and consideration, regardless of whether we agree with the board or not.

ADHERENCE TO THE BYLAWS:

We have a current but woefully outdated set of bylaws which everyone, including the board, are subject to and therefore needs to adhere to. The current practices of the board both turning a blind eye to violations of our bylaws when it suits them to do so, and the making up of unjustifiable "guidelines" which have absolutely no basis in our bylaws nor in our articles of incorporation needs to cease immediately.

The 2020 GFA AGM will be held on September 5 starting at 09:00 AM online via Zoom. Please see https://www.goodnowflow.net/zoom-instructions for instructions on how to attend this historic AGM, and;

Please Vote Wisely, Not Habitually.

Together, we really CAN do MUCH better.

Thank you very much for your DEEPLY appreciated

ongoing support in 2020 and beyond!! :-)
