How To Become A GFA Officer or Director:

1.) The GFA appoints a Nominating Committee.

2.) The Nominating Committee compiles a list of GFA Members in good standing who have expressed an interest in running for either an Officer's or a Director's seat.

3.) The Nominating Committee meets privately to discuss amongst itself the list it has compiled, and decides whom it deems to be the ONE "candidate" for each open seat whom it says should be placed on the official GFA ballot at the AGM.

4.) The Nominating Committee submits to the GFA this list of ONE "candidate" for each available seat. The Nominating Committee provides no criteria used nor justifications for their selections.

5.) The GFA approves this list, and places ONE handpicked "candidate" for each available seat on the official GFA ballot which is then presented at the AGM.

Regardless of how many GFA Members may have expressed an interest in serving as a GFA Officer or Director, the GFA presents to the Members at the AGM only ONE "candidate" for each available seat. I know for a fact that more than one GFA Members in good standing expressed a wish at least in 2019 to be put on the official GFA ballot, because in compliance with instructions issued by the GFA to do so, I formally put my name in for inclusion on the official GFA ballot. I was told I would not be included therein. Thank you VERY much for your kind attention. :-)
